9th Inning Rally Silences Storm
Tuesday's match up with DII power, SE Oklahoma, turned out to be a thriller. After a back and forth 8 innings, the SE Oklahoma Storm took a 4 run lead into the final inning. Northwood then started building an inning with the help of a couple of Storm walks. After big RBI scoring hits by pinch hitters, Jason Heflin and Teddy Nowell, the game was tied. SEO elected to intentionally walk Austin Atwell in order to load the bases and set up a force at every base. With Knight's clean-up hitter, Adam Humes, at the plate Northwood scored the winning run on a Storm wild pitch, taking the 9 inning slug fest 15-14 .
The win improves NU to 11-3 on the season. Northwood goes on the road this weekend as they travel to Texas A&M Kingsville.

Northwood first baseman, Adam Humes' extra inning single scoring Austin Atwell gave the Knights the three game series 2-1 Saturday afternoon at Knight's Field.
Northwood dropped game one of the series Friday afternoon by a score of 10-8. The disappointing loss saw LCU score 7 runs in the eighth inning. NU rallied in the 9th bringing the tying run to the plate but couldn't push the final 2 across. In the game senior, Edwin Arroyo, lacked a single for the cycle.

"We are so fortunate to have Don spend some time with our team, there is no way to put a value on the information that he shared with our team. We are so proud to have one of our own succeeding on the biggest stage in sports, and we are appreciative that he would take time out of his life to spend time and share his experiences with us," said Kennedy.
