Edwin Arroyo's Liberal Bee Jays and Chase Campell's League City Hornets are still alive after Friday at the NBC World Series in Wichita, Kansas.
Arroyo is hitting at a .300 clip through two victories. In his first game of the tourney he went 3-5 with a double and stolen base in a 9-7 victory over the San Diego Force. Arroyo is leading off and playing second base for the Bee Jays. There is another former Bee Jay middle infielder making a home in the DFW Metroplex, as Texas Ranger second baseman, Ian Kinsler was once a Bee Jay.
Campbell started the Hornets first game on the mound in the NBC earlier this week. Chase went 3.2 innings, giving up 7 runs on 5 hits, 4 walks, and 2 hit batters. The Hornets are currently 2-1 in the double elimination tournament.
