Former Knight Standouts Mentoring Newest NU Signee, Adam Humes



The newest Knight, Adam Humes is currently being coached by two former Knight infielders, Dennis Pelfrey (1995-1999) and Paul Ylda (2000-2004). Pelfrey also served as an assistant coach for former skipper Pat Malcheski from 2000-2004. Pelfrey was honored by the NU athletic department in 2007, for his outstanding contributions to the program, as he had his number 12 retired.

Humes, a corner infielder from Plano East High School signed a letter of intend on Tuesday. Adam is a physical player who will compete at several positions in the fall.

Through 85 at bats, Humes is hitting .365 with 5 doubles, 2 home runs, and 25 runs batted in.
